Comfort & support for the moments in between

At Solace, we provide individual outpatient therapy for teens & adults navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. The approach is collaborative, paced to your capacity, and grounded in evidence‑based practices. Clients often come to therapy hoping to feel more regulated, more connected to themselves, and more able to move through daily life with steadiness. Together, we work toward insight, skill‑building, and meaningful, sustainable change.

Our Services

Eating disorder treatment

I support clients experiencing bulimia, binge eating, ARFID, anorexia, and body image concerns. Our work focuses on reducing isolation, strengthening emotional regulation, and rebuilding a more connected & sustainable relationship with food and the body. Treatment is individualized and integrates evidence‑based approaches with somatic awareness.

Anxiety treatment

We work collaboratively to understand the cognitive, physiological, and environmental contributors to anxiety. Learn skills to interrupt rumination, combat excessive worry, and to regulate your emotions. Treatment often includes skills drawn from CBT, ACT, and somatic approaches to support long‑term steadiness.

Trauma treatment

Trauma‑informed therapy emphasizes safety, pacing, and choice while exploring how past experiences influence your current patterns. Treatment may help with regulation, improved understanding of trauma responses, and support in building internal resources. Treatment & interventions draw from somatic therapies, parts‑based work, and evidence‑informed trauma frameworks to support integration without overwhelm.

Depression treatment

Therapy offers a consistent, non‑judgmental space to understand the patterns that contribute to low mood and decreased motivation. Learn evidence‑based strategies for increasing emotional flexibility & reconnecting with meaningful aspects of your life. Treatment may integrate CBT, mindfulness‑based approaches, and somatic regulation skills.

Types of Therapy

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy offers a consistent, supportive space to understand your experiences and make sense of the patterns that shape your daily life. Our work focuses on increasing insight, strengthening emotional regulation, and helping you build skills that support long‑term recovery and stability. Whether you’re navigating an eating disorder, anxiety, depression, or trauma, sessions are paced to your capacity and grounded in a therapeutic relationship that prioritizes safety, clarity, and sustainable progress. Over time, clients often gain a deeper sense of self‑understanding, improved coping strategies, and a greater ability to move through life with steadiness and intention.

Treatment modalities that are used in our work include:

  • Somatic therapy

  • Narrative therapy

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Trauma Informed Care

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • Strength Based Approaches

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Yoga Therapy

  • Integrated Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills when helpful

Walk & Talk Therapy

Walk & talk therapy offers a movement‑based alternative to traditional office sessions. Meeting outdoors can reduce the intensity of sitting face‑to‑face and help clients feel more regulated, grounded, and connected to their bodies. This format is especially supportive for individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, or eating disorders, where gentle movement and open space can make it easier to access emotions and stay present. It is not a workout. Our work remains clinically focused. We explore patterns, build skills, and support insight while using the natural environment to create a sense of ease and steady forward momentum.

Virtual Therapy

Virtual therapy offers a flexible and accessible way to receive support from the comfort of your own space. Sessions take place through a secure telehealth platform and are available to adults located anywhere in Pennsylvania. This format can be especially helpful for clients balancing busy schedules, managing health concerns, or simply feeling more at ease at home. The work itself mirrors in‑person therapy: we focus on increasing insight, strengthening emotional regulation, and addressing the patterns that contribute to eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Many clients find that virtual sessions allow them to show up more consistently and engage in the therapeutic process with greater comfort and privacy.

Payment & Fees

Individual therapy sessions are offered in 60 or 80 minute sessions. Solace Counseling Services operates as a private‑pay practice, and we do not work directly with commercial insurance plans. For current session rates, please contact us directly.

Payment can be made by credit card or Venmo. A limited sliding‑scale option is available to support clients who may need reduced‑fee access to care.

All therapists at Solace Counseling Services are fully licensed and able to provide reimbursement statements (superbills) for clients who wish to submit claims for potential out‑of‑network benefits. Navigating payment and insurance can feel overwhelming, and we’re here to help you understand your options.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of your mental health care. Under federal law, all health care providers are required to give clients who are not using insurance an estimate of anticipated charges for services, including psychotherapy.

Your Good Faith Estimate will include the total projected cost for any non‑emergency services you choose to schedule. You can request one at any time before beginning therapy.

If you ever receive a bill that’s $400 or more than your estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge. Keep a copy or photo of your estimate for your records.
