Helping you navigate the moments that shape your life
Together we’ll explore how you move through the world - your patterns, your values, your nervous system & find steadier, more supportive ways of responding to what life brings.
Hi, I’m Alli, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with nearly ten years of experience supporting individuals and families through eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, and neurodivergence. I work with high achievers & performers who may feel overwhelmed with the sustainability of those qualities & I also work with people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. You don’t need to know exactly how things will change. You don’t need a perfect plan. You just need a willingness to show up, and I’ll meet you right there.
My work in the mental health world has taken me through family‑based therapy, three years at The Renfrew Center’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and years of supporting kids and teens on the autism spectrum in both group and individual settings.
My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Somatic Practices, helping you understand your thoughts while also reconnecting with your body and nervous system. As a certified yoga teacher, I often incorporate grounding, breathwork, and gentle awareness into the process when it feels supportive. Yoga Therapy is a modality that is offered as well, when appropriate. Therapy with me is tailored to you — your pace, your needs, your strengths. There is no one‑size‑fits‑all path to healing.
Working with me feels calm, collaborative, and human. I’m not a silent observer & I’m also not here to overwhelm you with advice. I show up as a real person. Warm, grounded, and genuinely invested in your growth. My clients often tell me they feel safe with me quickly, and that our sessions strike a balance between depth and levity. We talk about hard things, but we also laugh a lot. Humor becomes a way to breathe & to soften. To remember that even in the heaviness, there is still room for lightness.
I aim to balance directness with gentleness, because I believe therapy is a practice in not living in extremes. So many of us fall into all‑or‑nothing thinking with ourselves, with others, with our experiences. In our work together, we practice living in the “and,” the middle, the grey, the in‑between. We hold the seriousness of what you’re carrying and the possibility of lightness. We explore your patterns and your strengths. We make space for what hurts and for what’s hopeful. Together, we find the in‑between and we practice living there
Outside of the therapy room, I’m someone who loves to create. I crochet and knit, make flower arrangements, and recently got into mosaic projects. I’m an avid reader and have always been drawn to stories. Growing up, I would get lost in books for hours & hours. I think that love of stories is part of what led me to this work. I’m endlessly curious about people’s inner worlds, and I feel honored every time someone lets me into theirs.
If you’re ready for things to feel a little lighter, a little clearer, or simply more manageable, I’m here to help you take the next step at your own pace & in your own way. I cannot wait to hear your story.
Warmly,
Alli
